My Story

My life changed forever the moment I heard those words, “your daughter has cancer.” Looking back I can still hardly believe all that we went through as a family and how the almost 3 year battle my baby girl had would change our course in life forever.

That was in 2007, my 15 year old daughter was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, she went through all the chcmotherapy treatment that she needed and then sadly she relapsed.

She then endured more chemotherapy, stem cell transplant which had her in isolation for 4 months and radiation. I will never forget those days, it’s something I pray no mother ever has to witness.

Today my baby girl is cancer free and at 19 years old she is living the life of her dreams, 2 years cancer free!!!

Why I Got Involved Helping Here @ One Epic Journey

Bill mentioned that he needed a website and knowing that I could easily whip one up for him I decided that I could throw my hat in the ring and help out.

I have helped many business owners plan out their branding, online marketing strategy and more. I have done lots of buying and selling websites and my websites have been recommended by Dell, HP and Entrepreneur Magazine.

I knew right to the bottom of my heart that this was one of those moments where I could start doing something to honour not only my beautiful grown daughter but also help improve the lives of many fighting this disease.

I would like to leave you with this, as we went through this massive battle we believed that healing would take place and that my daughter would walk in freedom from this. It is my prayer that there enough changes in research made so that one day we hear the word cancer and all it means it going to the doctor’s office and getting a couple of shots, wouldn’t that be amazing!
